ESAB Adaptio | 2022 — 2023
Development of the first prototype for the Adaptio system—an autonomous submerged arc welding solution for welding V- and U-grooves from root to cap within programmed tolerances. As part of the project, a dedicated laser scanner with robust image analysis was developed and built for groove-profile extraction, while real-time seam tracking and adaptive welding logic enabled controlled bead placement and consistent joint fill.
